Becoming a person of dominion

 

Have you ever wondered!!! What is the one thing you can do to please God?   This is the longing of every person who is seriously in love relationship  with another person.   This should be the same mind that we have as we walk in covenant relationship with the God of heaven. Every single person who walks with God had to answer that question what is the one thing they had to do? David wanted to dwell in the house of the Lord; Paul wanted to forget what was behind Him and press toward the Mark.

 

 How can you take what David, Paul and several more desired and condensed it into one thing that you can focus on?

 

There is only thing God wants from you and me, God has made it clear from the beginning it isn’t a secret.

 

Genesis 1:26

 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the

fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over

every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

 

No matter what David, Paul and several more desired it might been expressed differently but still can be defined correctly by one word “Dominion”

 

Psalms 27:4

 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I

may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to

behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

 

As you continue to read this passage you notice the reasons why David wanted to dwell in the house of the Lord because he had enemies and , David realized his security and protection over the enemy is the house of the lord, in one word he wanted dominion and realized that only the presence of God would be able offer it.

 

 

(Philippinas 3:13)

 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one

thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching

forth unto those things which are before,

3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in

Christ Jesus.

 

Why would   Paul desire to forget and to press because he had is mind on the prize, he didn’t want to lose the benefits of his hope but rather he wanted to have the full reward, how do you define the mindset of the person who doesn’t want to lose his recompense but wants full reward? Dominion

 

 

God created you to have dominion meaning He has given you the right to rule and have preeminence over the works of His Hands.   When you are having dominion you are pleasing God because that why he created you for, what He is expecting from you is victory. When you are on top God is very pleased with you but when you live in defeat it hurts Him. Because that indicates that you don’t understand the desire His heart.

 

God wants you to have dominion, complete mastery in every area of your life, so that he can use whatever He brings your way to fulfill His purposes in this generation through you.   God wants you to become a person of dominion, a person who uses every opportunity that He gives you to advance the cause of His kingdom on earth.   

 

 

 (Revelation 11:15)

 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in

heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the

kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever

and ever.

 

God wants the kingdoms of this world to become His kingdom that will be possible only when you and I become a people of dominion because we are the agents that will materialize the reality of His kingdom

What kinds of kingdom God is talking about here?

  • Sport
  • Politic
  • Religion
  • Finances

 

Every significance arena of human’s life, God wants you to be part of it, His grace on you will cause you to become the head as you do ,you will begin to enforce His lifestyle in that arena.   Remember!!!! Every part of the kingdom of this world you find yourself in, regardless of what its offers you are there for one reason. Transform that arena to the kingdom of God; sometimes it doesn’t take great things to take a kingdom. Little fox that will spoil the vine, all you need is to be there your presence in that place has ushered the presence of God in that environment. When you are the one of the kingdom of this world you should know that you are in the world but you are not of the world therefore you should ask God why He places there when you find that out, become a person of dominion by introducing a lifestyle and a way of operation that pleases Him.

 

Pray this Prayer,

 

Lord Jesus, help me to become a person of dominion, I depend on your wisdom to show the way and on your holy Spirit to lead and empower me, I thank you that I will be used of you to become an agent of the kingdom in Jesus name
